As winter casts its spell over the Lakes Region, our upscale New Hampshire inn, nestled atop New Durham Ridge, offers a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Set on a historic 6-acre farmstead with breathtaking views of the White Mountains, our inn exudes a warm and inviting ambiance, blending modern amenities with nostalgic charm. Whether you’re seeking outdoor adventure or just a quiet retreat, we’re here to guide you through a series of handpicked experiences that will make your winter getaway in New Hampshire truly magical.

A Wonderland for Winter Sports
New Hampshire is well-known for being a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts. For our guests looking to hit the slopes, we recommend Gunstock Mountain. The approachable resort offers 55 ski runs for all levels, breathtaking views of Lake Winnipesaukee, and a vibrant night skiing scene. For cross-country skiers, the Abenaki and Sewall Woods trail network offers a tranquil escape as well as rental equipment at the Nordic Center. We do recommend advanced reservations for these activities as they can sell out of passes or equipment during peak season.

Treasure Hunting Along Route 4
Ready for some treasure hunting? Embark on an antique adventure along Route 4, known as New Hampshire’s Antique Alley, which begins just a short drive away from our inn. This area became a destination in the 1970s and is now New England’s ultimate antique trail, a “must-shop” for serious collectors. From furniture to vintage records, sports memorabilia to jewelry, you’ll find a plethora of treasures waiting to be discovered. Download the trail map here and embark on your hunt for unique finds.

Culinary Experiences on the Farm
Winter is the perfect time to indulge in comfort food! Originally hailing from Italy, our love for sharing our heritage through food means you may also hear us speaking Italian in and around the kitchen. We enjoy infusing international influences into our farm-to-table breakfasts and we offer cooking classes, with options for small groups or a private experience for two. It’s a wonderful way to spend a winter day, filled with laughter, learning, and delicious Italian cuisine.

Tail Wagging Adventures Await
For our canine fans or those who just love unique experiences, consider booking a dog sledding tour through the White Mountains. We recommend Muddy Paw in Jefferson, where you’ll be greeted by a team of enthusiastic athletes eager to share their love of running. Alternatively, spoil your pup by bringing them along for their own luxury getaway. We’re a dog-friendly inn and love welcoming your four-legged family members to join in on the winter fun. We even have a dog spa package!

Immersive Local Culture and History
A winter getaway is the perfect time to explore New Hampshire’s rich cultural heritage. The Rochester Opera House, an easy 20-minute drive from our inn, hosts an array of classic and modern performances. This beautiful historic theatre has been fabulously maintained and features a moveable floor, perhaps the last of this design in existence. If you want an even more immersive cultural experience, the nearby Canterbury Shaker Village invites visitors for guided tours through meticulously preserved buildings and to explore the network of nature trails that crisscross its nearly 700-acre site.
